Being emotionaly intelligent

It is a widespread belief that we are either rational or emotional. Emotional intelligence is harmonious functioning of mind and feelings. It is a skill of using both emotions and ratio in order to live life in the best possible way. Emotionaly intelligent people are not always happy, satisfied or smiling. Emotionaly intelligent people know that every emotion, pleasant or unpleasant, has its function, and that we need them all to live a complete and real life. And as any other skill, emotional intelligence can, with more or less effort, be learned and practiced. Also, as any other skill, it weakens unless used regulary.
